Description |
Painting the scenery for Saddleworth Musical Society's production of 'La Belle Helene' in 1967 followed by the dress rehearsals of the operetta. In 1968 we have rehearsals for Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Princess Ida' to a piano accompanist, the scenery being built and painted as well as the performers being measured for costumes. The exteriors of a pharmacy with a poster in the window then a young woman buying a ticket from the chemist. Next we see the programme being printed followed by full dress rehearsals. The 1969 production of 'The Bartered Bride' with rehearsals and scenery being painted is followed by a production of 'Iolanthe' with the stage crew painting scenery, adjusting the lighting and dress rehearsals. |
