Description

The Queen and Prince Philip visit Wigan in order to open the extension to the John McCurdy Hall. Civic dignitaries await the Royal train at the station before the Queen and Prince Philip arrive and set off in limousines along crowd-lined streets to the hall. A military procession marches past and the Queen inspects the soldiers before officially opening the hall extension and returning to the station.
