Description |
Members of the Inskip League of Friendship accompany a group of mostly elderly people with physical disabilities on a day trip to Rhyl. After the coach journey, and lunch at the Plastirion Hotel, the visitors brave the weather and set out in wheelchairs provided by St John’s Ambulance Brigade for a tour of Rhyl seafront and attractions, including the beach, rollerskating rink, fairground, and garden of remembrance. There is also a Punch and Judy show, a comedy diving display at the open-air baths, and brief scenes at the Coliseum with Will Parkin’s Summertime Show. The return journey to Heywood sees the coach stopping at the Royal Oak Hotel in Kelsall for refreshments. |
