Description |
The story of a necklace and how it was bought, lost, found, given, exchanged, sold, altered and bought again. The necklace is first bought by a man for his wife. The necklace is subsequently lost when the wife accidentally knocks the necklace into the clothes hamper at home. The next morning, the maid takes the clothes hamper and sends it to the laundrette. A woman working at the laundrette finds the necklace and gives it to her daughter at home. The daughter ends up exchanging the necklace for her friend's ring. The friend pawns the ring to get enough money for a trip to the hairdressers. The pawnshop owner then sells the ring to a jewellers who alters the necklace which in turn is sold back to it's original owner! |
