Dignitaries visit the extension to the Healey Royd Works of Lambert Howarth & Sons Ltd in Burnley as it officially opens on 15th September 1954. VIPs watch slippers being made on the factory floor, drink tea in a function room and are driven away from the premises in a car. Female workers are seen at sewing machines, men line fur slippers, and a woman assembles boxes on a machine. Slippers are displayed to the camera before the film ends with shots of the guest list. |
