Description

The Garners visit Gawsworth Hall in Cheshire and then York, where they walk along the Shambles and Stonegate and visit Clifford's Tower and York Minster. Rough seas at Blackpool in October are followed by a Christmas Eve 1967 visit to a family grave at All Saints Church in Church Lawton and trip to see Lily Ray in Kidsgrove. On Christmas Day Mr Garner makes breakfast and the couple exchange presents and have dinner. In February 1968 they get a new car and at Easter they watch steam trains pass on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway and visit the Crich Tramway Museum near Matlock.
