Description

A Communist party rally and Wilfrid Burke MP on the stump during the 1950 General Election campaign in Burnley. At the Communist rally, a man uses a microphone to address a small crowd, who are stood on wasteland outside Holden & Hartley car dealers holding placards. Wilfrid Burke MP walks along a cobbled street and meets (mostly female) workers outside a factory. Burke talks and poses with them and they all walk towards the camera. The film ends with a shot of a polling station.
