Description

Scenes from the Glossop and District Scouts camping trip to Belgium in 1985. The film opens with shots of the scouts and their parents waiting for the coach in a pub car park. We next see them at Camping St. Michiels in Belgium. There are campsite scenes throughout the film, we see the scouts eating, washing up and relaxing around the tents. The scouts take daytrips around Belgium. They go to Ieper and we see sights around the town, a visit to St. George's Memorial Church and the war graves cemetery. They visit the trenches at Sanctuary Wood Museum and the Tyne Cot War Graves Cemetery. We see them take a trip to Gent, and to Bruges where they take a sightseeing boat trip. They go to Knokke-Heist and we see the scouts visiting the beach. They visit the Atomium in Brussels and they go over the Dutch border to visit Sluis in the Netherlands. They watch performing sea lions and dolphins at a Dolfinarium. The film ends with scenes of the scouts taking their luggage out of the coach.
