Description |
This film records how the civil engineering department of Salford University investigated the flow of the river Lune in regard to fish migration and river behaviour such as flooding. We see surveyors at work using photo theodolites to map the course of the river past the islands or shards at Skerton. It includes aerial footage of the river and scenes in the universities laboratories where hydraulic models are built and the rivers flow is tested. The film ends with a concluding report by Prof. EM Wilson. |
