Description |
Footage of the docks, empty and deserted, during one of the dockers' strikes. It includes scenes of a bleak industrial landscape around the Bridgewater canal area of Salford/Manchester. An elderly lady, Mrs Brookes from Ordsall, is seen walking along the canal towpath. Includes shots of an empty lock and The Navigation pub on the corner of Old Medlock Street and Elm Street. Concludes with footage of a baby lying on an arm chair. |
