Description

Scouts climb onto a tour bus for Whitsuntide camp, where they are seen playing cricket, tree felling and eating dinner. Views from Scorton village during the 1949 Rally, featuring scouts on bicycles and the Scorton Cafe. A procession makes its way into a churchyard, where an inspection is followed by a prize giving ceremony. Scouts are seen climbing trees with step ladders at Windermere Great Tower camp and posing for the camera, followed by panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Views of sightseeing around the borough of Westminster follow and a visit to Omeath, with scenes of paddling down a rapids in a dinghy, waiting for a steam train and street life.
