Description

This film begins with exteriors of the Merseyside Community Relations Council building then interiors with carnival banners being painted as well as screen printing posters advertising the story cart. Next we see the carnival parade with adults and children, many in fancy dress, marching along the street with decorated floats and cars. At the carnival children play games, bounce on the inflatables and have their faces painted. After grossly underexposed traditional Indian folk dancing we follow the story cart to various Liverpool streets where the children paint, have stories read to them and enjoy street theatre performances.
