Local newsreel - includes shots of the new motor liner 'Reina Del Pacifico' at Liverpool docks; an air crash at Southport on April 4th 1931; Captain Barnard and his famous monoplane 'The Spider' at Southport on April 7th 1931 and the electrification of the Manchester South Junction and Altrincham Railway. Also a brief view of a train on the Liverpool Overhead Railway. The film ends with footage of the first trackless trolley buses in London and various carnival scenes at Hyde in 1931. |
