Description |
The 1933 Epsom Derby won by Lord Derby's horse, Hyperion - shots of spectators and the arrival of George V and Queen Mary. The horses parade then the race begins with a nice shot of a Pathe cameraman hand cranking his camera from a high point overlooking the course. This film ends with Lord Derby leading the horse into the winners enclosure. The 1928 Aintree Grand National features spectators, the horse parade and race scenes with many of the horses falling or refusing to jump the fences. Only 2 of the 42 riders complete the course with Tipperrary Tim being the 100/1 winner. Men drinking by their carriages at the 1927 Waterloo Cup then brief scenes of the greyhounds chasing a hare and a dog being chased by its owners followed by the spectators departing the course at Great Altcar. |
