Description

Looks at the craft of horn working at the Abbey Hornworks in Kendal. After shots of the town itself, the film concentrates on the process of creating shoehorns and cutlery. A variety of tools and machines are employed in the sawing, heating, sanding and polishing of shoehorns, and the drilling of stag antlers to make cutlery handles. A wide selection of other horn products are then displayed and demonstrated to the camera.
