Description |
Scenes from Warrington walking day, the procession is led by the marching band followed by children with banners and in fancy dress. A street party takes place for the 1937 Coronation celebrations, people can be seen dancing and drinking in the streets. Scenes from Orford walking day includes procession through the streets featuring various floats and children in fancy dress. The crowning ceremony of the Orford May Queen is performed by the Cotton Queen. During Padgate Walking day, marching bands, children of Padgate Methodist church and clergymen can be seen taking part in the procession. Walking Day July 1937, a man sells flowers and another sells biff bats and balloons to children. Nurses can be seen sitting out of a window to get a better view of the procession. |
