Description

Footage of the first Rose Queen Carnival of St Thomas' Church, Eccleston. A procession passes through streets, including floats, gymnasts from 'The Saxon Troupe', morris dancers, marching bands and the Rose Queen in a decorated cars. On arrival at the field, the Rose Queen is crowned by Mrs R. Morris Jones May and there are activities such as fairground games, country and may pole dancing, all watched by the Lord Mayor and local dignitaries. There is much fun and friviolity with games, food and drink.
