Description |
Miscellaneous footage, including shots from Morecambe(?) - featuring the swimming baths, where crowds watch divers and children play. Also includes shots of a Punch and Judy show and blacked-up performers. Continues with footage from Heysham Head, a man is seen clambering across rocks and various animals are seen at a zoo. Also features shots of ships at a dock. Continues with brief shots of a group of young people and of a train. Cuts to a brief 'drama' filmed in Heaton Park in which two young men are seen fighting, until a 'policeman' intervenes, the drama concludes with a young man in drag 'kissing' one of the combatants. After a brief shot of a model boat, which is set alight, the film proceeds with footage of a Whit Walk in Whitefield (?). A crowning ceremony is seen and there are shots of a marching band and other participants. Continues with shots of young people out for a walk on desolate, snow covered countryside on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border. Closes with shots of a young man eating a banana and scenes in a garden, including a man mowing a lawn. |
