Description

A woman on horseback leads the parade with a marching brass band, a girls' dance troupe, decorated cars and floats pulled by tractors. Rose Queens from around the region and the Lower Withington and the Rose Queen and Rose Queen elect pass by in vintage cars. The parade arrives at the showground and the Rose Queen coronation ceremony begins followed by the fancy dress competition prize giving, a parade of the floats then Morris dancers and children dancing around the Maypole.
