Description

Mr Joshua Preston, Mayor of Stockport, is seen entertaining a group of nurses at his family home at Glengarry. He greets the women (who are not in uniform) as they get off a 'North Western' bus, and shows them around the gardens and grounds. The women participate in various fun races and are seen eating their lunch around tables on the lawn. Includes a shot of the buffet table. Staff are seen taking the covers off the food. A local Stockport 'Wireless Services Van' provides musical accompaniment outside in the garden. Two men stand next to the van winding up the gramophone. Concludes with footage of various members of the Preston family at a fair.
