Description |
Scenes of derelict terraced houses in Salford, the last of which have been demolished. Children play in the rubble, and more houses are pulled down. There are shots of Salford's streets from above, barely visible through the smog. The area is seen covered in snow, and shots contrast the new tower blocks with the remaining dilapidated terraces. New blocks are shown under construction, and there are scenes of small children playing in Gertrude Street and butcher's shop with poultry hanging in the window. |
