Description |
Firefighters stand to attention on the parade ground and are inspected by Alderman Louis Caplan. The Alderman and a senior official give speeches. The firefighters put out a practice fire on the drill tower, and "rescue" a mannequin. They demonstrate the use of firefighting equipment, including the safe removal of building debris from an "injured" volunteer, and construct a hose bridge. There are shots of the Union Jack and the firefighters in marching drills. |
