Description |
Amateur film produced by the Warrington Cine Society. Julia's Granny writes a letter inviting Julia to come stay with her and her Uncle John. Julia receives the letter and asks her parents permission to go to which they agree. Uncle John meets Julia at the bus stop. On the way home he stops off at a shop where Julia spots a doll in the window. Back at Granny's, Julia describes the beautiful doll she has seen to Granny over tea. Granny arranges for Julia to do a variety of odd jobs so she can buy the doll for herself. Some of the jobs include doing a neighbours shopping and taking a baby out in a pram, walking a dog and washing a car. She keeps the money she earns in a pot in the living room. Unfortunately, Uncle John has seen the pot and gambles her money away. When Julia finds out she makes Uncle John do her chores to earn her money back. The film ends with Uncle John being chased by the neighbour's dog. |
