Description

Film of the rally at St Brendans Hall, Old Trafford following the annual Manchester Martyrs march to commemorate the execution in Salford Gaol of William Philip Allen, Michael Larkin, and Michael O'Brien in 1867. In the course of freeing fellow Fenians from a police van a policeman was killed.
The second speaker at the rally, Arthur concludes his speech about the Birmingham Six and is followed by a speaker from the Woolwich Three and Guildford Four campaigns. Followed by a speaker from 20/20 Vision, commemorating the 20th anniversary of British Troops returning to Ireland; Mukhtar Dar speaks about the parallels between Pakistan and Ireland; and Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) gives a message of solidarity before a statement is read from Sinn Fein.
