Description

Beautiful scenic views of the countryside filmed from a moving canal boat. The scouts pull the canal boat from the towpath. We see a swan and her cygnets before the boat enters a lock. Later the boat reaches Harecastle Tunnel and turns around. At one point they pass the Narrowboat graveyard in Northwich, Cheshire. The scouts and leaders go swimming in the canal. Inside the boat they cook some food followed by views of the Anderton Boat Lift. The film ends with some scouts sunbathing on the roof of the canal boat as they drift through a rural landscape.
