Description |
Scenes along the route of the Liverpool Overhead Railway showing general shots of Liverpool streets below, point of view shots from the driver's cab and trains arriving and leaving different stations. Includes footage from inside the train carriage, general views of ships in the dockland area and Liverpool buildings (Liver Building, power station, factories) - all seen from a moving train. The filmmaker's son appears in the film, looking through binoculars towards the docks and ships. Ends with a shot of a Liverpool Overhead Railway notice stating the cessation of future services. |
