Description |
Local newsreel events - includes various scenes around the city of Chester before, and after, the electric tramway system was replaced by buses. Also features an air pageant held at Wythenshawe aerodrome on the 22nd June 1929 - scenes of Altrincham Carnival - and the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla anchored at Trafford Docks, on the 23rd June 1929. Crowds of approximately 50,000 people are seen wandering around the quayside and on board ship. |
