Description |
The Over Peover Jubilee celebrations begins with children erecting tents and inflating beds on a campsite. Events are held throughout the day these include children's country dancing, knobbly knees competition and children's running races. A fortune teller reads the cards while in the village hall the cake and flower arrangement competitions are held before the villagers enjoy refreshments of tea and sandwiches. After more dancing and egg and spoon races there is a barbecue with sausages and burgers. There are various stalls such as a crockery shy, ten pin bowling, darts and hoopla to help raise funds. The film ends with the children eating, singing and dancing around the bonfire. |
