Description

The Stretford borough council, through its Safety Committee, does everything possible to avoid accidents - road signs urging motorists to 'drive carefully'. You must assist them by being more safety wise - examples of 'good' and 'bad' behaviour; a young boy is knocked down after running into the road after his ball and is taken to Park hospital - shots of the casualty department and the childrens' ward; other children are seen doing their kerb drill, and crossing the road safely using the zebra crossing and helped by the school crossing patrol. Bicycle safety - the correct way to ride a bicycle; examples of bicycle defects; the Stretford Wheelers cycling club. Children playing on the railway track and by the canal - one falls in and is 'drowned'.
