Including scenes shot during the winter, Lee Congregational Sermons procession and celebrations marking George VI's coronation - including a fancy dress party at Lord Street School. There are shots of the Anderton Waterfall near Northwich and Blackpool Seafront. There is footage shot at Christmas, including shots of a toy-festooned float in a procession which also features a man dressed as Father Christmas. A Christmas party is seen - Father Christmas distributes presents and children play with toys. There is a brief shot of a procession of royal or civic cars travelling along a street followed by footage from a teaparty visited by a vicar. Also includes footage from a party including children with decorated bicycles and prams and adults and then children performing plays. Closes with shots of a bride and groom outside a church following a wedding. |
