Film of the Lord Mayor's Pageant Parade on 2 July 1921, to mark Manchester's adoption of Mézières on 10 June 1920. Soldiers, marching bands and civilians parade along crowd-lined streets intermingled with a variety of floats - some advertise companies or products, a float mocked up as a train is seen, others represent events in history or countries - the UK, France and the USA are all represented. |
