Description

Remembrance Sunday service and wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial in Burnley Town Centre on November 9th 1980. The crowds, including war veterans, British Legion flagbearers, and representatives from the armed services, gather outside the William Thompson Recreation Centre. Civic dignitaries arrive for the service in which several wreaths are laid as a military band plays in the foreground. The film concludes with the band leading a parade of military personnel and veterans through the streets of Burnley.
