Description |
Trip taken by 3rd Barrow-in-Furness (Grammar School) Scout Troop to the Isle of Arran in 1971. Scouts board the train at Dumfries, then travel by ferry to Arran. Shots of Brodick Castle and gardens, and scenes of scouts in their hostel - reading, cooking, and washing. One of the scouts has a birthday and is given a cake and a present of Rupert the Bear soap. The scouts take part in many outdoor activities, hillwalking and scrambling over rocks. The reel ends with scouts boarding the ferry home. |
