Description

Film detailing the many attractions of Blackpool - aerial views of the beach and seafront are followed by scenes in Stanley Park, including a dog show. Sport and leisure activities, including crazy golf, boating, cricket and swimming are seen, as well as the town centre shops and the many different rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Morecambe and Wise judging Miss Blackpool 1963, singer Craig Douglas at the International Cycle and Motor Cycle Show, and the Duke of Edinburgh at an International Golf Competition are some of the famous visitors to Blackpool featured, and Cliff Richard and the Shadows perform at the opening of the ABC cinema and theatre. The film ends with views of some of the Blackpool Illuminations.
