Description |
Contact is Manchester's theatre for young adults, encouraging and supporting a huge diversity of artists. There is a particular emphasis on the development of emerging artists, and the theatre runs an at-home residency programme to give these practitioners the resources, support, and space they need to flourish. After their residency, the artists present the results of their work in progress. In December 2001, choreographer and teacher Darren Pritchard was selected as one of Contact’s artists in residence. His work Plasma Intermix examines issues of identity faced by people of mixed-race, and he and guest performer, dancer Anta Draper, talk about their collaboration. |
