Family scenes from the Leach family, mainly focusing on Emily and Rachel. The film begins with a family holiday to Wales in July 2003. We see the family in Conwy visiting the castle and playing on the beach. In Llandudno the family ride on a cable car and on the Great Orme Tramway. We see shots of them on the pier and of the surrounding views. They also visit a zoo and the girls have lots of fun watching the antics of a chimpanzee family. Back home the girls dance to music in the living room, and then we see them in the same room decorating the Christmas tree. On Christmas Eve the girls hang up their stockings and leave a mince pie for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph. We see them opening their presents on Christmas Day. At a later time they play with Thomas and Joseph in their snow covered front garden. In January we see Emily's birthday party in a restaurant. Later we see Emily back at home opening her presents. This is followed by scenes from Rachel's birthday where we see her opening presents in the living room. Later, in April 2004 we see the girls in the living room watching the family home movies on the television, In May 2004 Emily rides her bicycle outside and we see Rachel on a tricycle. Later in May there is a sports day where the children take part in a variety of races. This is followed by brief scenes from August 2002 where we see a little boy and his father flying a kite. The family take a tour of some caves at Speedwall Cavern in Castleton, and we see underground shots of the caves. In October 2001 Emily helps her Mum to decorate her bedroom while baby Rachel watches from her buggy and in November 2001 we have scenes from Dad's birthday. There are fireworks and later we see Emily admiring his cards. In December 2001 the family take a ride on the East Lancashire Railway Santa Train. Finally in August 2002 we see the family playing in the sea and on a beach. |
