Description |
A self-service co-op shop opens its doors in Burnley. Inside the store, assistants arrange shelves prior to opening. A man delivers a speech to people gathered outside the shop before he unlocks the door and allows them in. There are interior shots of shoppers being handed wire baskets, browsing the shelves and being served by staff at the checkout and the rationed goods section. The film also includes exterior shots of the shop front (possibly on Accrington Road) with shoppers entering and leaving the store. |
