Description |
At the Guild showground a brass band plays and the police prepare for a dog demonstration as part of the International Police Tattoo. A helicopter lands and people admire the vintage cars and fire engines. Children on the ocean youth club's boat, 'The Greater Manchester Challenge' at the boat regatta. The Catholic Guild procession with floats, clergymen, brass bands, religious banners and icons. At the Guild showground there is a funfair with various rides including a big wheel and a ghost train as well as children's face painting. On a rainy day we have another procession with floats from local industry and services, members of the local communities and Frank Sidebottom waving to the crowds that line the route. |
