Description |
A record of local events in and around Chorley. Opens with the royal visit to the town in 1913, including shots of the royal motorcade and crowds beside the specially-erected stage. There follows action from a Lancashire Junior Cup Final football game (featuring the Chorley team) played at Bolton in 1922, with supporters travelling from the train station to the ground. Scenes at the opening of the war memorial in Astley Park in 1924 are followed by a catholic procession through the town on June 20th 1926 and a Walking Day featuring Church of England sunday schools on June 24th 1922. Ends with inter-titles about the 1924 East Ward Carnival but no subsequent footage of the event. |
