Description

The Smiths' camping holiday at Highbank Farm, Hardhorn on the Fylde coast. Michael and Hazel play while Mr Smith has a wash and shave. They sit outside a beach hut at Cleveleys and the children play on the beach. The next section is filmed much later, when Michael and Hazel are teenagers and on holiday in North Wales with their parents. They visit a beach and fairground, watch a ferry depart from Holyhead to the Isle of Man, and see a donkey derby at Pontins in Prestatyn. Back in 1967, the children play on swings and a slide and a 70th birthday party is held for Jack and Alice. There are hill walking scenes and, finally, footage from a Whit Walk on a rainy day in the Swinton area.
