Description |
Film of scrap drive in Liverpool in 1952 - includes scenes in the scrap yard, men digging up tram lines, collecting scrap from householders and breaking up boats. Also views of ferries on the Mersey, street scenes in Central Liverpool and the Liverpool Overhead Railway. Film ends with procession of mounted policemen in full ceremonial uniform and an ornate carriage - reason unknown. |
