Description |
A carnival procession moves along Padiham Road, Burnley, on 16th June 1951, part of the town's Festival of Britain celebrations. A series of carnival floats pass Boat Horse Lane, featuring reconstructed biblical scenes and telling the story of Sunday Schools. A series of fire engines moves past followed by a succession of floats representing Massey's brewery, the British Legion, St. John Ambulance Brigade and the National Coal Board, Members of the Rose Theatre parade in costume and a marching band is also featured. |
