Description

Rushes from Pendle Movie Makers Millennium 2000 project showing a New Year's Eve party, Blako Sports Day and Barrowford Show.

Part One:
Scenes show a New Year's Eve Party at the Municipal Hall in Colne, a talent contest held in Barnoldswick - (contestants can be heard as camera moves around square) shots include market stalls, people watching the event and an interview Councillor David Whip. Features Blacko Sports Day, with civic dignitaires presenting the Peter Read Cup, children competing in races and people selling items on stalls. Short sequences include New Year's Eve fireworks, a bird perched on a garden fence and tree planting on a former building site. Footage includes horse and dog shows, clowns performing tricks and people selling produce on stalls at the Barrowford Show.

Part Two:
Various performances for the Eight Choirs Concert at the Municipal Hall, Colne, including the Nelson Civic Ladies Choir.
