Description |
Filmed as part of the Irwell Valley Mining Project, this film begins with a trip to the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield. Miners are seen returning from the pit cage and then an ex miner explaining the 'dirty' lockers the miners used. Next we visit the bathhouse with its showers and then onto the 'clean' lockers where the miners would put on their everyday clothes. |
