Description |
Views of a procession passing through the streets of Bury are followed by scenes at the official opening of the St George's Barracks of the Regiment of Fusiliers by Field Marshall Sir Francis Festing on the 8th September, 1962. Various clergymen are introduced to the mayor and mayoress during a Whit Walk in Bury town centre, and there are scenes from other processions in the town on a Mayoral Sunday and Battle of Britain Day. At the Tower of London, a ceremony is held in honour of the Fusilier Regiment, with Mayor Manners in attendance, and the films ends with scenes from an unknown group outing to the Lake District. |
