Film footage of the unveiling of the Gladstone Hall sign, on July 3rd 1953, by C.A. Gladstone Esq. D.L. J.P. Various civil dignitaries attend the ceremony including the Mayor and Mayoress. The film also features shots of Port Sunlight including scenes of the first diesel locomotive called 'Lady Leverhulme' in the works grounds, the unveiling of a plaque on the 'Duke of York Cottages' and shots of the Estate Gardens and Nursery. |
