Description

This compilation of three newsreel stories opens with the work of Mrs Beatrice Parkinson, a lighthouse keeper on the Lancashire coast. She makes her way along the shoreline to the Plover Scar lighthouse near Cockerham, where she cleans and lights the lamps before returning to a second lighthouse at Cockersands. The reel also contains stories about a mysterious underground shell grotto in Margate and the workings of a 'Blizzard Machine' that produces fake snow for a London stage show called 'Stars on Ice'.
