Description |
Footage of an annual holiday to the Isle of Man, taken by pupils and staff from Kirkby Simmonswood County Primary School in 1956. Children are seen departing from the school and assembling on the quayside for the ferry in Liverpool. Whilst on holiday, the children visit the beach and eat lunch, go to an outdoor concert and see boats and go bird-beaching at Port Soderick. On a rainy day, they have a game of tennis and play in the gym and swimming pool. They go on trams at 'Groundle Glen' and visit Peel Castle and have a day shopping. |
