Opens with an old peoples sheltered housing scheme, Hamilton House Bury. Interviews with elderly residents recounting how they became residents, and their perceptions of the home. Shots of them having tea.
Followed by footage of Hulme tenants in consultation with architects about matters of access and security using an architects model and artists impressions of building exteriors.
Continues with exterior shots of Hulme taken from a car, prior to redevelopment. Shots of urban decay, vandalism and dereliction of maisonnettes and flats. Features the area around Hulme Cresent and Wallacre Close.
