Description

Scenes from the Grimsargh Field Day. We see the procession which includes the Rose Queen, people in fancy dress, a dance troupe and a brass band. They arrive at the carnival field on the village green and there is a ceremony where the Rose Queen is crowned and other presentations are made. Children take part in races and people look around the stalls. We then see haymaking scenes where we see the various processes involved. Some of the film goes backwards, so the bales of hay look like they are flying from the field back onto the tractor. The film ends with scenes of a well dressed lady in the garden posing for the camera.
